Dear Families and Students,
Welcome to Jenny Lind Elementary School and the 2025-2026 school year! We hope your summer has gone well and you are as excited as we are for the beginning of the new school year. We are honored to have you as a member of the Lind Family. Our school year starts on Tuesday, September 2nd for students in grades 1-5, and September 4th for High-5 and Kindergarten. The school day starts at 7:30 and ends at 2:10. We look forward to a productive, collaborative, and fun year as we move forward in the pursuit of innovative strategies to ensure all students achieve to their fullest potential. We are also pleased to welcome several new staff members to our school community.
The staff and families of Jenny Lind will have many opportunities this year to partner together to provide all students with an engaging and high-quality school experience. We understand the importance of a strong home-school connection and we are confident that by working together, we can meet every child’s social, emotional, and academic needs.
As parents/caregivers, we rely on our partnership with you in educating your child(ren). You can support your child’s learning by making sure that he/she comes to school every day, on time, and ready to learn and by encouraging your child to meet his/her responsibilities in school and with homework. Your participation in school conferences, meetings and other school activities is vital to your child’s success. We look forward to getting to know our families and parents/caregivers throughout the year.
Returning students should be receiving school bus times in the mail from the District Transportation office. If you do not receive this information within the next week or have questions about your child’s bus stop, call the transportation office directly at (612) 668-2300.
We would like to remind everyone of Jenny Lind School’s Open House on Thursday, August 28th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Please come meet your child’s teachers, Lind administrators, and other staff members. You will receive important information and available resources regarding the 2025-2026 school year. We look forward to seeing you at the Open House and on the first day of school. Together, we will have a wonderful year!
